Children’s dress

For my niece’s birthday, I sewed her a cute unicorn dress.

The unicorn fabric was a coupon I had lying around, and the pink knit fabric is a remnant of another sewing project.

I found the pattern online. (It will take a while before I get to the children’s clothing module of my dressmaker course.) As it is a simple pattern, and children’s clothes are much smaller than adult clothes, it was done in a couple of hours.

The pockets are a single piece and therefore extend to the inside, like on a hoodie.

Unfortunately I made a mistake when trying to do pattern matching, so the pattern aligns horizontally but not vertically at the waist. Too bad. But my niece did not look at that detail, she just loved the unicorn dress! 😊
