Christmas party dress

I am infamous amongst my colleagues for wearing silly outfits to our yearly Christmas party. It started out simple, with for example putting hand-sewn antlers on a headband, wearing baubles as earrings, or draping some garlands or battery powered Christmas lights across my body. But as these things tend to do, it got out of hand. To the extend that my colleagues and even their family members now start speculating weeks ahead about what I’d be wearing this time. So I found myself sewing an actual Christmas dress, including a hat, for this year’s party…

After this photoshoot, I decided to also stitch some battery powered lights along the collar, for added effect. The outfit proved to be a huge success! Now I only have to figure out how to top this next year… 🙈

Time spent: 28 hours and 45 minutes (Drafting the pattern not included)
Costs: €42,25 (For the red and white fabric. I still had red and white lining and a zipper in stock.)
